2023 SINGLE VINEYARD PINOT NOIR

90 POINTS - “Single-site wine. Juicy & delicious, easy drinking, fresh & frisky style. Lots of red cherry, sour pomegranate, rosehip tea & peppery spice. Bright & tart in its way with a super-vigorous feel. It's energy plus here. Feels like a wine for summery days, done so right. Pinot noir characters are all there, but the gist is more a guzzle-worthy red of simplicity & huge charm. Delightful.”

2020 Deanery Vineyard Chardonnay

95 POINTS - “Crushed, pressed, wild ferment, mlf & 12 mths' maturation in French puncheons (50% new). A well-composed wine, nicely coiled, releasing flinty grapefruit, lemon curd, white peach, nectarine & hazelnut oak. Creamy in texture, complex in delivery with juicy, chalky acidity.”
Jeni Port, 2023 HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION

2021 BAROSSA VALLEY SHIRAZ

92 POINTS - “Blueberry pie, bramble, lots of ripe fruity scents, a hint of boot polish or fresh leather. Great carry of flavours, slate-like tannins, a bit of black pepper spice & violets. It has a black cherry & black coffee feel, dark amaro with bitter herbs & a bitter-acidic finish. Yet, there’s nothing harsh or poky about it, all in blissful balance. Well made Shiraz with immediate appeal.”
Kasia Sobiesiak, WINEFRONT, Nov '23

92 POINTS - “A contemporary rendition of warm-climate shiraz. Tension imparted by a belt of pulpy reduction. Iodine, green olive, blue & purple fruit allusions & a trail of clove & pepper. Fun drinking with the caveat that there are so many wines that taste just like this, as imminently attractive as it is.”
Ned Goodwin MW, HALLIDAY, Aug ‘24

2022 SAVAGNIN

91 POINTS - “Lanolin, candle wax, preserved lemon & a salty scape of gin & Mediterranean tonic. There is plenty to love here: the skinsy architecture, the fractured pucker between a parched lip & the line of subtle fruit & the fill of the mid-palate, ineffable of character but present. A wine in the making. Already a lovely thing. Succulent, salty & driven to length & exclamation of more to come.”
Ned Goodwin MW, HALLIDAY, Jun ‘22

2021 WRATTONBULLY SHIRAZ

91 POINTS - “Wrattonbully often strikes a chord of trepidation, such is the excessive eucalyptus across so many wines there. Yet this is solid. A bit fruit sweet, to be pedantic. Yet the raspberry, clove, aniseed & white pepper accents venture long, drifting effortlessly across a full-weighted palate framed by some vanillin oak tannins.”
Ned Goodwin MW, HALLIDAY, Jul ‘23

2021 Mataro rose

93 POINTS - “McLaren Vale Mataro is the hero. I guess so are the Cooke Brothers. Lots going on in this rose. Jolly, raspberry & strawberry notes, some light, cashew notes, a sprinkle of cinnamon spice. Has length & texture, good energy & high drinkability on its side. A nice, slightly bitter-pickled cherry character emerges which delights too. Really interesting & good.”

2022 SINGLE VINEYARD PINOT NOIR

92 POINTS - “Deep-ish red-purple colour; Campari/Italian bitter herb aromas, definite whole-bunch/stalk components here, the palate elegantly cast, medium weight & neatly balanced, with medium length. A very attractive pinot that drinks well already. (1/3 whole bunch ferment)”
Huon Hooke, THE REAL REVIEW, Jul '23

91 POINTS - “Strawberries & spice, some leafy bits. There’s a general lightness & red fruit character in this wine. Cranberry, pomegranate & some roasted coffee beans. It seems the oak suit fits the fruit intensity, all flows nicely with fine, soft, velvety tannins. Jolly good.”
Kasia Sobiesiak, WINEFRONT, Jan '24

2019 Adelaide Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

92 POINTS - “Hahndorf fruit, wild fermented on skins for 2 weeks, then pressed to French barriques (25% new) & matured for 14 mths. Cabernet re-imagined leaning to a more medium-bodied style with spice & crimson-fruit characters rather than black & fuller bodied. Definitely the varietal herbal, leafy side recognised as part of the style. For all its winemaking, the weight & tannin feels are way gentler than expected. Has genuine appeal.”
